Ice Swimming Sprint in Salo 2026

At the market square in Salo, you can enjoy a sauna right in the heart of the city on Saturday, February 7th from 12pm to 3pm.

There will be saunas, hot tubs, cold pools, and a hole in the ice for swimming. Additionally, there will be performances on stage and sales booths at the square.

The event at the square is free of charge!

Härjänvatsa sauna is open:

Varvojärvi’s Iisakki’s Pirtti sauna is open:

The sauna has separate showers and dressing rooms for women and men, as well as a common sauna area with an oil-heated stove that provides wonderfully soft steam. Barbecue facilities, bring your own snacks. We have a large living room where even a larger group can enjoy a snack break.

The Kirbackan sauna of the Nurkkilan-Ylönkylä village association is open:

• on Sunday, February 8th from 1pm to 5pm

Sauna fee 5 euros, children under 16 years old free.

There is a café at the sauna and Antsun’s hot dog mobile is on site selling hot dogs.

In addition to the Kirbacka’s sauna, you can try a barrel sauna on site and, in addition to the ice swimming, take a dip in the warm hot tub of Johannisbergadventures Oy.

Kokkila sauna is open:

Offering traditional Finnish flatbreads cooked on a griddle as long as the dough lasts.

The village association Laineranta sauna is open:

Coffee and sausage sales in the cottage: coffee 1.50 euros, coffee bread 1.50 euros, and sausage 2 euros.

Possibility to grill your own sausages and have a picnic in the grill gazebo.

Laineranta sauna is wood-heated. Our sauna is not very large, so with a larger group, it is advisable to head to other saunas!

Unfortunately Marina’s open water pump is broken, so no ice swimming this weekend.

Sauna is warmed anyway on saturday!

Mathilda Marina public sauna is open:

• on Saturday 7.2. from 14:00 to 20:00. Kitchen open from 12:00 to 21:00, taste the delights of the winter menu!

Niksaari sauna, Nixor, is open:

During Avantoralli, you can buy warm drinks and small salty and sweet snacks from the buffet at the sauna. On Saturday, Temp ry and Perniön VPK will be in charge of the buffet, and on Sunday, it will be Särkisalo-Finby Marttayhdistys.
