On weekdays (Mon–Thu 8:00–16:00 and Fri 8:00–15:00), patients requiring urgent care are primarily treated at the local health centre on appointment. Outside the health centre opening hours, treatment is provided at the Tyks Acute unit in Salo at Sairaalantie 9, Salo.
The initial assessment of the need for treatment is made over the phone. Tyks Acute helpdesk, tel. +358 2 313 8800 The health centre’s on-call service ends at 22:00.
Persons with a sudden illness and need for ambulance transport are treated at the emergency services of Tyks Salo Hospital around the clock.

Seeking treatment
If you require treatment for an illness or injury, contact your local health centre. Regional divisions are displayed in connection with the health centres’ contact details.
When you contact the health centre, a nurse will first assess your situation and then refer you to the right place for treatment. If you require urgent first aid, you can come straight to the health centre without calling first or making an appointment. The health centres are closed on evenings and weekends. At these times, sudden illnesses and accidents are treated by the emergency services of the Tyks Salo Hospital.
