E-resources

The Vaski libraries offer their customers a wide selection of e-resources, which you can explore on the e-resources page in the web library. There you can find all the necessary information on the library’s electronic resources as well as instructions for using them. ePress service containing Finnish newspapers is only available on customer terminals in the Vaski libraries. But ePress service containing Finnish magazines, the PressReader service containing foreign newspapers and the Naxos music services are available by logging in with your library card and your pincode.

In addition to the e-resources available through the Vaski libraries, there is an abundance of material freely available online. Some of these sources are also listed in the Vaski Web Library. In addition to freely available books, the list also includes concerts, courses, and films.

eKirjasto
The eLibrary is a website of electronic resources in public libraries. Some of the materials are freely available, while others require a library card and a PIN code.

The E-library will open on 29th April 2024

The new E-library will open on April 29th 2024. The service is provided by the National Library of Finland in cooperation with public libraries.

The opening of E-library will have some impact on Vaski libraries’ e-collection:

• magazine service ePress remote will remain in use until May 14th
• e-book and audiobook service Ellibs will remain in use until the end of June
• the use of OverDrive will end during 2024
